On the transition to digital television

The digital transition will not effect Valemount TV. There is no need for a converter box or a new television, our services will continue on as they have in the past for the foreseeable future.

Community Television in Valemount

If you are in Valemount right now, turn on your TV, twirl your antenna to channel 7 in time for Valemount Idol 2011 at 07:00 AM . Also check our schedules on the menu to the left.

Valemount is one of seven communities in English speaking Canada with a license to broadcast over the air community television. VCTV has a weekly magazine called Valemount LIVE! VCTV is run by the Valemount Entertainment Society.

Did you know it's super easy to get reception in town? Yeah! Even if you have a satellite dish. It's true! Satellite receivers have an antenna input plug right on the back, just put your antenna in there and turn off your satellite receiver and you'll get analog television goodness. Enjoy TV the way it was envisioned when it was invented back in 1932.
